I am so fortunate to have enjoyed your cooking during college--I wish you could be my personal chef! :)<br />I need to cook in big batches more, thanks for the reminder!Tabithahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08138538420842925505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8947282168705077475.post-88526059341666573332012-06-12T06:18:29.001-07:002012-06-12T06:18:29.001-07:00Wonderful ideas Carrie! And great point about the steak, I had not tried that before, but I'm going to try it now!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06369722422733612184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8947282168705077475.post-75000181251956256702012-06-11T18:56:56.230-07:002012-06-11T18:56:56.230-07:00I like cooking a bunch of ground beef all at once ...I like cooking a bunch of ground beef all at once (like, 2 or 3 pounds) and freezing it in 1 lb-ish batches. In a week, I might do 2 lbs and we'll have build-your-own burritos one night, chili another, sloppy joes another and so on... I have to make kid and hubby-friendly food, so my dinner choices probably don't match up with yours... I just try cutting carbs and such wherever I can, like using a lettuce leaf for burritos and spouted bread open-face for sandwiches. I also like using left-over steak for chili since it doesn't reheat real well. Also, I will grill a bunch of plain chicken and freeze it for future meals or chicken salad.Carrienoreply@blogger.com
